Description: IF SOMEONE DIDN’T STEAL Cassius Clay’s red Shwinn BICYCLE, Muhammad Ali DOESN’T FIND HIS GREATNESS!!

Many of us can connect with how tragedy can lead to purpose. I recount how a personal setback lead me to discovering my ability to paint.

Ali’s Schwinn bicycle being stolen that October afternoon in 1954, was his calling in disguise. Ali would not have met Sergeant Joe Martin that day and we would have never heard the words “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”.

This painting of Ali in his younger years is a reminder to all of us that we can turn tragedy into greatness. His motivation to “whup the thief who stole his bike” turned him into one of the greatest sports figures and human rights activists of all time.

Show your spirit of transformation, self determination, pride, activism and love for Muhammad Ali with this limited edition fine art print hung in your sacred sanctuary or inspire others in a public space.

The original painting is created with multiple layers of acrylic paint on a 36″x36″ gallery stretched canvas using a palette knife, brush and fingers. I started the piece around the time of his death in 2016 and it was immediately acquired into a Louisville, Kentucky collector’s collection.
